Megatech Engineering Limited  (RC-196669) parent company of Megafones  is fully registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission and is among the pioneer private Telephone operators in Nigeria with the following frequency licenses:

· 3.5 GHz frequency for the provision of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Voice and Data Telephony Services.
· 5.8 GHz operational licenses for full mobile broadband solution
· 2 carrier 800MHz spectrum licenses for NGN CDMA deployment in 19 states of Northern Nigeria including the federal capital territory Abuja.
· National Unified Access License.

To maintain the pioneer status, Megatech networks commenced operations as a fixed wireless telephony and data operator on the 3.5GHz in June 2002.

Full equipment installation and integration for the roll out of the NGN CDMA network is completed and ready for first phase commercial deployment in May, 2009 with expected capacity of 500,000 clients under the brand name Megafones
